Generally, you need to be a council or housing association tenant for either a minimum of 2 years before 18th January 2005 or for a minimum of 5 years after 18th January 2005(present and previous addresses are included). Your council or housing association will be able to confirm if you are eligible for a right to buy mortgage.

How Much Discount am I Eligible for with my Right to Buy Mortgage?
